Micro total analytical system (μ-TAS) has been developed rapidly in resent years.Although microchip zone electrophoresis could offer high separation efficiency, the resolution should still be improved.Therefore, the introduction of necessary separation media in the channel is still necessary.Monolith is one kind of media especially suitable for μ-TAS, because of its simple preparing processes, precisely defined locations and easy surface modifications.In our recent work, monolithic porous polymer for reverse-phase capillary electroehromatography (RP-CEC) was prepared by UV-initiated polymerization and further modification by photografting.
