The hollow villages phenomenon is a social problem that should arouse the concern of the governments at various levels as well as the whole society.It is also a new contradiction which we must envisage to construct the socialist harmonious society.The problem may result in a restriction bottleneck to the development of the national economy and the social stability unless it is well solved as soon as possible.Started with the hollow village s concepts and the present situation,this paper probes into its formation mechanism from several factors,such as economy,planning,administration,political regimes and so on.From these,the article puts forward a series of measures and suggestions about how to make the hollow villages regenerated.
