Polyketides is a group of valuable secondary metabolites owing to their great importance in many fields such as medicine and agriculture.However, insufficient precurosor supply during polyketides biosynthetic process is considered as one of the intractable bottlenecks for production improvement.Thus, it is essential to increase the efficiency of polyketides precursor supply to address this problem.During cell growth phase, Streptomyces coelicolor could accumulate considerable lipids for the biosynthesis of actinorhodin.
