　　We seek to compare diversification patterns between the tropical and temperate regions using the Athyrium-Diplazium clade,and to further explore mechanic correlations of ecological opportunities and trait innovations to the rapid radiations within these ferns.A fossil-calibrated chronogram of the Athyrium-Diplazium clade was obtained using BEAST divergence time estimates.
