一部儒学史生动而有力地表明:儒学具有一种能够适应现实社会的发展变化而及时作出自身调适,不断创新性发展的内在生命力。正是这种内在生命力,使得儒学能够适应不同历史发展时期的社会生活实际需要。因此,实现儒学的现代化,谋求儒学的现代发展,并使之在当代中国社会——文化建构中发挥作用,其关键在于切实体认儒学固有的内在精神,重振儒学的内在生命力,依据当代中国社会生产、生活实践来开辟儒学的发展新路,逐渐形成发展起同当代中国社会现实需要相适应并能反映当代中国广大民众利益意愿的新儒学。
A history of Confucianism makes a vivid and powerful demonstration that Confucianism possesses the intrinsic vitality of adapting to the development and changes in the real world and timely making its own adaptation and continuous innovative development. It is this inherent vitality that enables Confucianism to adapt to the actual needs of social life in different historical periods of development. Therefore, the key to realizing the modernization of Confucianism, seeking the modern development of Confucianism and making it play a role in the social-cultural construction of contemporary China lies in earnestly recognizing the intrinsic spirit of Confucianism, revitalizing the inherent vitality of Confucianism, Social production and life practice to open up a new path of development of Confucianism and gradually form a new Confucianism that develops from the needs of the contemporary Chinese society and reflects the wishes and interests of the vast majority of people in the contemporary China.
