　　The tightly binding of bilirubin(BR)with human albumin(HA)on adsorbents leads to low BR elution efficiency of the adsorbents using general methods such as alkaline elution.In details,the BR elution efficiency of the cellulose acetate(CA)/polyethyleneimine(PEI)membrane using alkaline solution decreased from 95% to 63% when BR was adsorbed from BR-buffered solution (free BR)to BR-HA mock solution(BR-HA complex).
