Located in the Tethys-Himalayas metallogenic domain, one of the three major porphyry copper deposits in the world, the Mila mountain region of Tibet is located in the Gangdese-Nyainqentanglha plate, A multi-island arc collision orogenic belt with unique evolutionary history since the Late Paleozoic (Pan Guitang, 1997). The ore-forming structures such as “volcanic arc”, “arc basin” and “magma arc” formed in different evolution stages are spatially overlapped to form a “superimposed” volcano-magmatic arc Yao Peng, 2002). Based on the geological characteristics of the copper-molybdenum deposit in the Mirashan area in Tibet, the author analyzes the mineralization and ore-prospecting prospects of the copper-molybdenum deposits in the Mirashan area of Tibet in combination with the regional geophysical and physical characteristics.
