Reduced seed-shattering is an important agricultural trait in rice domestication.Although two rice shattering genes have been identified, the pathway in the regulation of seed shattering in rice remains unknown.In order to find other genes involve in the shattering network, we screened for non-shattering rice mutants through mutagenesis of a shattering line SL4, which harbors SH4 (grain shattering quantitative trait locus on chromosome 4) and qSH1 (quantitative trait locus of seed shattering on chromosome 1) loci simultaneously.
