While current studies on penetrating dynamics mainly depend on phenomenological analysis for the lack of the physical regime for the strong coupling between the interface stress and the flow motion, we purpose in this paper to understand the penetrating dynamics based on the analysis for the interface stress, which varies with the evolution of the granular states agitated by impact.
