Alzheimers disease(AD)is the high incidence neurodegenative diseases, which is characteristic of amyloid β(Aβ)fibrillation and deposition on neurons.[1] Many synthesized peptides have been proposed and investigated for regulation of Aβ aggregation, while the stability, immunogenetic and difficulties in crossing blood brain barrier hindered the development of peptide drugs for AD.Herein we report an Aβ binding peptide with high affinity up to 13.8 nM derived from adrenocorticotrophic hormone(ACTH).The peptide was able to regulate the Aβ aggregation by reducing the β-sheet conformation of Aβ and inhibit the Aβ fibrillation.
