　　Pc蛋白是一个经典的转录抑制因子，对生物体的发育和人类疾病都有着非常重要的作用.最近对于Pc功能的研究主要集中于其组成的PRC复合体，该复合体能识别并结合组蛋白标签从而维持基因的转录抑制状态.CtBP蛋白也是一个经典的转录共阻遏因子，该蛋白可以募集组蛋白去乙酰化酶.研究表明CtBP与Pc相互作用并参与PcG的DNA募集作用.
