Capillary electrophoresis (CE) is increasingly recognized as a highly attractive separation technique because of its high separation efficiencies, short analysis time, small sample requirements and low operation cost.However, the main drawback of CE is the poor concentration sensitivity.The choice for increasing concentration sensitivity is on-line or off-line sample preconcentration.Several on-line sample preconcentration methods have been reported, such as stacking, transient isotachophoresis (t-ITP), dynamic pH junction and sweeping.In sweeping, both charged and neutral analytes can be preconcentrated, making it a versatile enrichment technique.For off-line concentration methods, the hollow fiber-based LPME technique (HF-LPME) was an attractive alternative for sample preparations This technique can provide high analytes preconcentration and excellent sample cleanup, with the advantage that the fiber is disposable after use due to its low cost.
