Adsorption Characteristics of Cu(Ⅱ) Ion onto Crosslinked Chitosan Resin Modified by L-lysine

　　An adsorption system was executed to investigate the removal of Cu(II) from aqueous solutions using crosslinked chitosan resin and crosslinked chitosan resin modified by L-lysine.Batch experiments were carried out to study the effects of initial concentration,pH and temperature on the adsorption capacities of these two resins.At pH 4 and temperature 50 °C,the adsorption capacity of crosslinked chitosan resin modified by L-lysine for Cu(II) was 92.65 mg·g-1 when the initial concentration of Cu(II) was 500 mg·L-1.It was 2.37-fold of the adsorption capacity of crosslinked chitosan resin,which was just 39.08 mg·g-1.The equilibrium data of crosslinked chitosan resin agreed well with the Freundlich model while crosslinked chitosan resin modified by L-lysine showed a better fit with the Langmuir model.The kinetic data correlated well with the pseudo-second order equation,which was 3.76×10-5 and 6.07×10-5 for crosslinked chitosan resin and crosslinked chitosan resin modified by L-lysine,respectively.The results indicated that chemisorption was the rate-limiting step.
