　　We recently reported that bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) are the main origin of hepatic myofibroblasts,which contribute to fibrogenesis in chronic liver diseases.When BMSCs differentiate toward myofibroblasts, α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) appears and collagen α1(Ⅰ)(Col α1(Ⅰ))and collagen α1(Ⅲ)(Col α1(Ⅲ)) are markedly increased.
