Two spiral nematode species, Helicotylenchus dihystera (Cobb, 1893) Sher, 1961 and Scutellonema brachyurus (Steiner, 1938) Andr(a)ssy, 1958 were recovered from soil samples collected from turfgrasses in North Carolina and South Carolina, USA during 2011 ~ 2012 and from previous collections.Two species are differentiated from each other by body length (609 ~ 693μm in H.dihystera vs 720 ~ 907 in S.brachyurus), lateral field (no areolated in H.dihystera vs areolated from the anterior to the excretory pore and at phasmids in S.brachyurus), stylet length (23.0 ~ 26.5μm in H.dihystera vs 27.2 ~ 28.4pm in S.brachyurus), spermatheca (usually conspicuous and without sperms in H.dihystera vs no spermatheca or sperms in S.brachyurus) , phasmid (small, 5 ~ 11 annuli anterior to level of anus in H.dihystera vs large,just pre-anal in S.brachyurus), tail (convex-conoid to a narrow terminus which usually may form a slight ventral projection, 6 ~ 12 annuli in H.dihystera vs tail broadly rounded, 8 annuli between anus and tail tip, no projection in terminus in S.brachyurus).The morphological and morphometric characteristics of these species are presented.

燕麦是世界范围内广泛种植的禾本科牧草和杂粮作物.蚜虫传播黄矮病毒(BYDV)所致的红叶病是燕麦上的重要病害,有效防治蚜虫可从根本上控制燕麦红叶病的发生和流行.对燕麦种子进行包衣处理,通过药物内吸活性和包衣缓释作用可降低田间虫口基数.为了明确噻虫嗪种衣剂的应用效果和使用安全性,通过田间试验,研究了噻虫嗪种子包衣防治蚜虫和红叶病的田间防效及持效期,采用高效液相色谱法测定了药物在植株和籽粒上的残留动态.
柑橘黄龙病是柑橘生产上的一种毁灭性病害。该病害的主要防治方法主要包括检疫、培育无病苗木、砍除病树和扑杀柑橘木虱等。早有文献记载(林孔L湘,1965;Bove,1974;骆学海,1983),利用高温热处理技术可以使感染柑橘黄龙病亚洲种的接穗和苗症状消失或减退。说明高温对亚洲种有抑制或杀死作用。但其实验材料大多是接穗和盆栽苗,且基于症状观察并没有处理前后病原菌的浓度变化。
报道我国盘长孢属两个新记录种和一个大陆新记录——藜盘长孢Gloeosporiurn chenpodii,卫矛盘长孢Gloeosporium euonymi和杜英盘长孢Gloeosporium elaeocarpi,并对三者进行了形态学描述和绘图.研究标本保存于HMAS和MHYAU.
