　　We investigated the optical properties of aerosols on hazy days in urban (Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences-CAMS) and rural (Shangdianzi-SDZ) sites of Beijing during January 2013 using data retrieved from a sun photometer.In both urban and rural sites of Beijing, the aerosol optical depth (AOD)showed consistent variation with PM2.5.
