Carbonation has been identified as a key degradation method for cementitious materials that are used to immobilize and serve as barriers for hazardous waste,contaminated soil,and nuclear waste.To better predict material performance under carbonation attack,an equilibrium leaching as function of pH test was used to measure the release of key constituents from a variety of cementitious materials that had been carbonated.
