In recent years various strategies have been developed in our group towards the synthesis of functional porous materials,[1] ranging from porous silica and metal oxides, to carbon and carbon nitrides, to polymers and organic frameworks.These materials are prepared by a target-oriented approach, i.e.their chemical composition,structure and chemical and physical properties are optimized to reach a specific aim or application.
