Based on diatom analysis of 86 core samples collected from the 57.8-m long borehole ZK201-2 which is located at the Zhongshan area of Zhujiang River Delta, a total of 45 genera and 168 taxa (including sp.indet, and varieties) of diatoms belonged to three types of ecological groups i.e.marine, brackish and freshwater were identified.
