  With the development of modem industry, rolling bearings should work under the extreme conditions, such as high speed.Therefore, new high performance rolling bearing material is developed and a suitable lubrication type will be proposal to improving limit bearing speed for high-speed rolling bearing.Nitinol 60 have high hardness, electrically conductive, highly corrosion resistant, less dense than steel, readily machined prior to final heat treatment, nongalling, nonmagnetic and great tribological properties.Therefore, Nitinol 60 is shown to be a promising candidate material for oil-lubricated rolling and sliding contact applications such as bearings.In this paper, the friction and wear tests were conducted using Nitinol 60 pin loaded between rotating GCr15 steel disc, lubricated with PAO oil.Contrary to inability to successfully lubricate other metal alloys with high titanium content, it is found that Nitinol 60 can be lubricated by PAO oils and Nitinol 60 has shown remarkable tribological performance under oil-lubricated conditions.Average coefficient of friction of Nitinol 60 at stable step is 0.6 under dry friction, however, average coefficient of friction decrease to 0.1.The SEM worn surface image showed that Nitinol 60 exhibited the excellent wear resistant under PAO oil lubrication.It is also pointed out that high performance material should be lubricated with good lubricity in order to exhibit their excellent tribological properties.The traditional lubrication cannot meet high speed rolling bearing.Researches showed that oil-air lubrication is regarded as the optimum lubrication for high speed rolling bearing.In the practical research, number simulation is an effective method for acquiring working performance of oil-air lubrication.The flow pattern of oil-air flow was simulated in pipe with FLUENT software with the VOF model.The optimum velocity of oil and air at the inlet was achieved, which provided the great proposal for the design of experiment of the oil-air lubrication of Nitinol 60.The simulation results showed that the optimum annular flow of flow pattern was achieved when air velocity is 10 m/s and oil velocity is 0.05 m/s.
