Advanced composite materials are increasingly being employed for structural applications in the marine, automotive, aerospace, building, and industrial sectors.As our industries move towards a sustainable future, significant research is being carried on the development of composite materials from bio-derived fibres and polymeric matrices.The term flammability covers a wide range of important material properties, and represents a critical issue in many applications.Composite material systems must pass a wide range of regulatory tests, which differ significantly between industry sectors.
