In recent years, liquid desiccant dehumidification has become an efficient method for indoor air humidity control.Based on the absence or presence of an internal cooling/heating source in the dehumidifier/regenerator,liquid desiccant air-conditioning systems can be classified as either an adiabatic type or an internallycooled/heated type, respectively.Compared to adiabatic liquid desiccant system, the internally-cooled dehumidification system has showed superior performance in reducing the solution flow rate, device volume and power consumption. In the present study,an internally-cooled desiccant dehumidification system model is established and validated. With the help of the model, the combined working performance of the system and the influence of each working parameters have been simulated and analyzed in detail. It was found that both solution mass flow rate and heat exchange efficiency play a significant role in the system performance.
