  It remains controversial as to whether adiponectin exerts anti-or pro-thermogenic effects.Here,we show that basal,acute,and chronic cold-induced energy expenditure as well as the browning effect are enhanced in adiponectin knockout (KO) mice compared to wild-type control mice.
