This presentation will report on the progress ofthe Education for SustainableDevebpment Peace Project,an interdisciplinary curriculum development and exchangeproject,begun in 2010,between Sapporo Odori High School in Japan and LouisianaState University Laboratory Schoo l(LSU)in the United States．Sapporo Odori HighSchool is a newly established school(2008),and aims to provide an equal opportunity fordiverse students:ex—school refusers,immigrants!returnees and others having difficultieswith the traditional Japanese education．Louisiana State University Laboratory Schoolencourages educational research at the state and bcal levels．
