In this paper, 0.55Pb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3-0.45Pb(Zr0.3Ti0.7)O3 solid solution piezoelectric ceramics were successfully fabricated at various temperatures by the conventional solid state sintering method.X-ray diffraction and microstructure analysis demonstrate that all samples are a typical perovskite structure with homogeneous grains, and the grain size increases with the increase of sintering temperature from 1150℃ to 1225℃.The sample sintered at 1200℃ achieves the maximum values of the piezoelectric coefficient d33~810 pC/N and the planar electromechanical coupling factor kp~68%.The values of the remanent polarization Pr of 17.0 μC/cm2 and the coercive field strength Ec of 4.42 kV/cm are also measured by TF2000 system at room temperature. For applications, all properties of the samples sintered at 1200℃ are determined under the five different vibration modes.
