We propose a Coulter counter model with analysis of magnetic field and hydrodynamic force since the counter plays an important role in biological cell assay.The Coulter counter has one microchannel that separates two chambers which contain electrolyte solutions.As internal fluid of particles or cells pass through the microchannel, each particle causes a tiny change to the electrical resistance of the liquid.The target cell with magnetic bead will make a tremendous change to the electrical resistance compared with the non-target cell because of lorentz force.Meanwhile, a real-time changing hydrodynamic force exerts on the particles when they pass through the microchannel.
