Background: Selenium (Se) nanomaterials have attracted increasing attention for their unique characteristics and potential applications in biological medicine.In recent years, considerable studies have focused on preparation of Se nanoparticles (SeNPs).SeNPs as delivery vehicles of anticancer drugs has enormous advantages, including targeting action, low dosage, enhancement of pharmacological effect, low side-effect, protection from drug degradation and augment of drug stability.On the other hand, TM could significantly suppress cancer cell growth in vitro, superior to adriamycin.However, poor water-solubility and high cytotoxicity against human normal cells limit its anticancer efficacy.
