Fe1-xGax binary alloys exhibiting large magnetostriction have great potentials for micor- and nano- Sonar,sensors,actuators and energy harvesting applications.However,the origin and deformation mechanism of such large magnetostriction,especially at high Ga concentration (x > 18.75%),has not been thoroughly studied.Here we conducted an ab initio based molecular dynamics simulation of Fe1-xGax binary alloys in nanoscale and demonstrated the fundamental mechanism of the Ga concentration dependent of tetragonal magnetostriction at 0 ≤ x ≤ 25% for the first time in the literature.
