Aims: Distinct from β1-, β2-adrenergic receptors (β2ARs) mediate a compartmental cAMP signaling uncoupled from cytosolic proteins in heart, and regulate heart function mainly by enhancing L-type Ca2+ channel (LCC) currents.LCC Ca2+ influx couples to ryanodine receptors (RyRs), which mediates SR Ca2+ release in Ca2+-induced Ca2+ release (CiCR) manner. However, whether β2AR-cAMP signaling modulates LCC-RyR coupling has not been determined.
