感觉神经元投射至中枢形成投射图是感觉神经系统编码刺激部位的重要方式。在这些投射图中，感觉末梢在中枢形成的突触联系具有高度特异性。这种特异性不仅表现在末梢投射至大致体感代表区，而且也表现在相邻同种感觉神经元投射至中枢部位的精细差异，从而形成精确的投射图。
