Structure optimization of hardness testing device (HTD) based on virtual design has been put posed.The purpose of the HTD was designed for obtaining accessory hardness properties,since the creation of the previous HTD,a few minor problems were experienced during in testing operation.In the present work,improvements both in equipment design and automation control were made.It is a realistic digital analysis generated by combining automated and interactive approaches to evaluate the devices capability with simulation software---ADAMS and AMESim.In order to obtain numerical results close to reality,theoretical analysis was taken into account for the numerical description.The method and conclusions would be useful for composite structures designers.Improved design of HTD successfully reduces the number of costly physical prototypes,improves design quality,and dramatically reduces product development time.
