[Objective]This research is to study the scientific and representative of the strength index of "national students physical fitness standard" through the experiment, and seek a better strength index, puts forward some ideas on physical fitness monitoring strength index of students.[Methods] Simple muscle strength of grip, back&leg and isokinetic strength of the six joints (hip, knee, ankle, shoulder, elbow, and wrist) of 120 middle school studentswere test.By factor analysis, set up the whole body strength(F) regression equationusing the isokinetic muscle testing peak torque value.Correlation analysis of the grip, back&leg strength and F were carried on, in order to make a judgment.[Result]The correlation index between the back muscle strength and F is the maximum;the correlation index between the leg muscle strength and F is the second;the correlation index between the grip strength and F is minimal.[Conclusion and Suggestion]The scientific of the strengthindex of "national students physical Fitness standard" is not very good.It is suggestion that use other upper body strength test indexesreplacing grip strengthindex as the strengthindex of "national students physical fitness standard" , and increaseback and leg musclestrength in it, from science and health promotion.
