Drought has become the most important factor limiting rice yield in many areas of rainfed ecosystems of Asia and Africa.In an effort for simultaneous improvement and genetic/molecular dissection of drought tolerance(DT)in rice,90 DT pyramiding lines(PLs)were developed from an F2 population of a cross between two DT IR64 introgression lines.
