The problem of identifying the initial condition or the right hand side in parabolic equations with time-dependent coefficients from interior observations is studied. The problem is ill-posed and we numerically analyze its degree of ill-posedness.Then,we propose the conjugate gradient method based on the splitting method for solving the problem numerically. Some numerical results are presented.
