A new green radical photo-cyanation strategy is developed to pattern Pt/C electrode surface with CN adlayer.As compared with clean counterpart electrocatalyst,the CN modified Pt/C not only preserves the intrinsic electrocatalytic activities of Pt,but also exhibits an enhanced methanol-tolerant property and durability during oxygen reduction reactions.
