We conducted field and pot experiments to test whether the total flavones, total phenolics and total saponins released from Solidago canadensis L.accumulated in soil, and whether these chemicals in soil related to the allelopathic effects on soil pathogens under the soil conditioned by S.canadensis.In the field experiment, we found that as the composition of plant community changed and the population of S.canadensis expanded, the concentrations of total flavones, total phenolics and total saponins in soil increased.Compared to the soil without S.canadensis invasion, activity of soilborne pathogen was significantly inhibited in the soil conditioned by S.canadensis.
