To understand structure change of different type pyrite cinder before and after adsorption Tl+,the behavior of Tl+ adsorption on the settling basin dreg was investigated by diffuse reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.The results were summarized as follows:(1)At adsorption for 4 h,Tl+ adsorption percentage on the settling basin dreg was only not less than 60%.The peak intensity active groups,which can bind Tl+cation,was increased obviously.Because F-would dissolve in and Tl+ adsorb on the settling basin in the same time.The dissolved F-would exist as fluorine compound,for example TlF,HF.The fluorine compound came from washing water of pyrite cinder cooling process.(2)The adsorption equilibrium can be reached eventually in 10 h with adsorption percentage of not less than 96%.Tl+ can adsorb on lattice outer.of settling basin dreg.The adsorption isotherm of Tl+ can be described by Langmuir equation,Freundlich equation,Temkin equation and Henry model on the settling basin dreg.
