The domestic large shipbuilding gantry cranes(SGC)all have been installed managing system of safety monitoring(MSSM)according to the national policies and national standards by the end of 2013,but the inspection and verification to the systems is still in the exploratory stage.Guangzhou academy of special equipment inspection &testing(GZSEI)has accumulated some experiences for the theory and inspection method of MSSM through studying the relevant policy and researching the corresponding system according to national standards.GZSEI has inspected MSSM of 11 large SGCs in Guangzhou according to its operating files such as inspection working instructions,original records and so on.The problems of the systems are pointed out through inspection; it can provide some reference for inspection of MSSM of the same type or even other types of cranes in the future.
