The cutting head cut teeth was under high pressure, the shear force and random wallop at its tunneling work, cut teeth in the cut process under the effect of random load, and accompanied by warming phenomenon.Under the common actions of thermal coupling make top gear material to soften, accelerate cut teeth failure, cut teeth are consume leaped.In order to reduce the workload of the tooth replacement section and improve the cutting part of the cut teeth reliability.To study machine cutting tooth failure and countermeasures.After metallographic observation and mechanical testing analysis, the results show that: The 18Cr2Ni4WA cut teeth of carbon and nitrogen after permeability, the top of carbon nitrogen compounds were a large number ,high wear resistance, matrix wattle martensite and austenite have good toughness.5CrNiMo steel cut teeth form even and fine tempering austenitic group.High temperature resisting tempering and thermal fatigue performance are excellent.18Cr2Ni4WA Carbon and nitrogen were permeability cut teeth than 20CrMnTi cut teeth tensile strength increased by 9.25%: Impact toughness increase 41.8%.Two kind of cut teeth industrial test life improved by 100% and 20%.
