　　Hippocampal CA1 sharp-wave ripples(100-250 Hz)is prominent oscillation during slow-wave sleep(SWS).It is thought to be crucial for memory consolidation.We recorded a group of interneurons in hippocampal CA1 area, and their activity correlated well with ripple oscillations,so we called them “ripple-related cells”.
