下岔河-小勐真金矿位于云南省镇沅县。矿区与镇沅县城有简易公路与外界相通,距镇沅县城里程约80 km,距普洱市约250 km,距昆明市380 km,交通较方便。1地质背景大地构造上本区位于印度板块与扬子板块之间的结合部位,即哀牢山断裂带和金沙江缝合带的南侧。东侧以哀牢山深断裂为界,与哀牢山褶皱区相邻;西侧与阿墨江大断裂为界,与思茅-勐腊拗褶区相邻。区内各构造单元的边界均为NW走向的深大断裂,从东到西依次为红河、哀牢山、九甲-墨江三
