The study was designed to investigate the relationship between partial intestinal obstruction-induced motility disorder (OIMD) and voltage-dependent potassium current (IKV) remodeling by using electrophysiology, westernblot and immunohistochemistry methods.OIMD was accompanied membrane potential depolarization and the current density of IKV was decreased.Obstruction shifted IKVpeak activation curve to left, but shifted the inactivation curve to right. However, IKVsus activation curve was shifted to left by obstruction but not inactivation curve.IKVsus was more sensitive to TEA in obstructed smooth muscle.Kv4.3 and Kv2.2 were up-regulated by obstruction. The results suggest that decreased density of IKV may contribute to the depolarization of resting membrane potential in OIMD.
