C-oriented hexagonal barium ferrite thin films have been prepared on sappire substrate by sol-gel technique involving a spin coating and annealing.Different ratios of Ba to Fe,different annealing temperatures and different annealing time are explored. And the surface morphology of the film is shown by AFM.X-ray diffraction shows that the films have a good epitaxial relation with respect to the substrate, while the magnetic measurements also show the notable magnetically anisotropic loops with in-plane and out-of-plane.
