Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) form obligate symbiosis with vast majority of land plants and provide plants with mineral nutrients (e.g.,phosphorus) for carbohydrates in return as well as help host to protect against abiotic (e.g.,stress and arid) and biotic (pathogens and herbivores) stresses.
