It is confirmed that Traditional Chinese Medicine can moderate the atherosclerosis by reducing oxidation and inflammation, preventing formation of thrombosis and protecting vascular endothelial function.Bioactive components of Momordica Charantia, as an important Traditional Chinese Medicine, has been reported to play a role in anti-oxidation, anti-inflammation,glucose-decreasing, insulin resistance-reducing and endothelial function-improving.However, it s still unclear about its effort on atherosclerosis and the underlying mechanisms.Our previous research have already confirmed thatprotein kinase C β 2(PKC β 2) can obviously accelerate the atherosclerosis.
