Chor et al found that tetrapods animals (including all mammals) the frequency distribution of k-mer is showing multiple peaks.If the k-mer according to the number it contains CG dinucleotide classification,i.e.,k-mers with no CG dinucleotide is 0CG,comprising a CG dinucleotide is 1CG,comprising two or more is 2CG.k-mer CG different subsets of the frequency distribution of showing independent unimodal distribution,which is the other 15 kinds ofdinucleotide classification does not have properties.
