Soil salinization is an important worldwide environmental problem, especially in semi-arid and arid regions.Xinjiang (China) is one of the most hypersaline areas on Earth.The genus Nocardiopsis, a dominant gram-positive group with high G+C contents, can be able to survive there, which is understood by its special bioactive compounds and genomic sequences, but the survival strategy adapted by this group of actinomycetes is very limited.The genomic sequencing of eighteen Nocardiopsis species in the past 4 years provides great opportunity for knowing its adaptive strategies from proteomics.
