Here we report the observation of pressure-induced superconductivity in Ca10(Pt3As8)(Fe2As2)5(the “10-3-8 phase”),a compound of significant current interest, which is an antiferromagnetic semiconductor at ambient pressure but can be a superconductor upon doping with Pt on the Fe site,by in-situ high-pressure resistance and magnetic susceptibility measurements.
