Among electrochemical energystorage devices,supercapacitors are excellent power provisionbut provide relatively low energy density.Rational fabrication of electrode materials with porous nanostructures in combination with chemical doping offers alternativeopportunities to increase energy density while maintaining high power density.In this work,we report the facile synthesis of sulfur-doped porous carbon materials by utilizing simultaneous polymerization of 2-thiophenemethanol and tetraethyl orthosilicate followed by thermal annealing and etching off SiO2 from the as-madenanohybrids.The resulted carbon materials contain 9.8 wt% sulfur,and have a specific surface area of 507m2/g and a pore volume of 0.19 cm3/g.
