Epilepsy is a very common disorder, affecting one in every 100 persons.There are many comorbiditiesthat are often seen concurrently with epilepsy, despite its etiology.Diseases such as migraine, depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, attention difficulties, are developmental delays are common in patients with epilepsy.Additionally, sudden unexplained death in epilepsy is the most severe comorbitidy resulting from epilepsy.The underlying mechanisms have been explored but have yet to be fully elucidated.
